Family Picks: Pumpkin Patch At The Zoo, Fraggle Rock Live And Zootopia Under The Stars

The zoo's pumpkin patch opens, Fraggle Rock comes to the Morris, and St. Patrick's County Park screens Zootopia 2 outdoors. Nine family events over the next two weeks.

Family-friendly events on the calendar from this weekend through early October, in date order.

Sunday, September 20: Notre Dame Hockey Blue and Gold Scrimmage, 7 p.m. Free, and the players sign autographs after.

Friday, September 25: Family Movie Night: Zootopia 2, 6:30 p.m. at the St. Patrick's County Park amphitheater. Bring blankets.

Saturday, September 26: a full morning. The Children's Museum of South Bend 5th Birthday Bash, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., free with cupcakes. The Bicycle Safety Rodeo at Ironworks Plaza, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. And Free Fishing Day statewide.

Sunday, September 27: Pumpkin Patch at the Zoo opens at Potawatomi Zoo, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and returns on dates through the fall. Same afternoon, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Live plays the Morris Performing Arts Center at 4 p.m., a stage adventure based on the Apple TV series. Science-minded kids can try Science Sunday at ND-LEEF, 1 to 4 p.m., at St. Patrick's County Park.

Monday, September 28: Kids Craft Night at PaddyShack Ice Cream in Granger, 6 p.m. Make a Halloween backpack dangler.

Thursday, October 8: Howl-O-Ween at Rose Park Dog Park, 6 to 8 p.m. in Mishawaka. A Halloween party for dogs and their people at the park's new dog park.
