What we do
Michiana On Tap is an independent local media publication. We list events, publish stories and guides, and run giveaways. Event details come from venues, organizers, public calendars and reader submissions. We do our best to keep them accurate, but dates, times, prices and availability change. Confirm with the venue or organizer before you go. We are not responsible for cancelled, changed or sold-out events.
Your submissions
When you submit an event, photo, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it is accurate. For a photo, that means you took it or have the owner's permission, and anyone recognizable in it agreed to appear. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, edit, and promote it on the site, in our newsletters, on our social channels and in the previews that appear when someone shares a page. We may decline or remove any submission at our discretion. The contact details you include stay private (see our Privacy Policy).
Photos and takedowns
Event photos come from organizers, venues and their public listings, and appear on that event's page with a link back to the source. Photos in our stories, guides and places directory are our own, used with the owner's permission, or published under a free license such as Creative Commons, with a credit to the photographer. Venues and organizers are welcome to send us their own photos for their listings.
If you believe a photo or anything else on the site infringes your copyright, email hello@michianaontap.com with:
- a link to the page where it appears
- a description of the work you own
- your name and how to reach you
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, and that your notice is accurate
We take disputed photos down promptly while we review the notice.
Sponsored content and links
Some content is paid for by sponsors. It is labeled as described in our Advertising Disclosure. Links to other websites, including ticket sellers and sponsor sites, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, products or policies.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to send spam, scrape content in bulk, interfere with the service, or submit false or misleading information. We may block access for misuse.
Our content
Stories, guides, design and branding on the site belong to Michiana On Tap unless otherwise noted. You may share links and short excerpts with attribution. Please ask before republishing full articles.
Names and trademarks
Team, school, venue and business names belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the events and places we cover. Michiana On Tap is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Notre Dame, or by any team, venue or business we write about, unless we say so.
No warranties and limitation of liability
The site is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Michiana On Tap is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including attendance at any listed event.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Disputes will be handled in the courts of St. Joseph County, Indiana.
