When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put into protective custody in an unlikely safe house: a convent. Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid convent lifestyle and the uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent, Deloris transforms the lives of the other nuns while staying one step ahead of the criminals who want her silenced.
