This drama centers on Troy Maxson, a man who once played professional baseball in the Negro leagues but was passed over for the major leagues. Now working as a sanitation worker in Pittsburgh during the 1950s, Troy grapples with the disappointment of his lost opportunity and its toll on those around him.
